Tab and Elise's birthday party

We had the pleasure of attending Tab and Elise's birthday party at Chuckecheese.  It is not my favorite place to be.
Reasons I don't like it
1.  it's loud
2.  it's crowded
3.  the pizza sucks
4.  i'm paranoid about all the germs the kids will get.  Last time we went the kids said the tunnel thing smelled bad. An hour later they shut it down because someone peed in it.  So kids crawled around in pee for an hour?
5.  It's expensive for crappy pizza

Reasons I go
1.  My kids like it.

So is it better than skateland is the question.  Another favorite birthday party spot.  I'm not sure.
That said I was not miserable during the whole time.  It is nice to be around family and friends and for that I'll continue to put up with chuckecheese.   Maybe I should start one that has good pizza.
PS-Ivy liked the salad bar.

new blog

at work I asked several times to start a ICU blog.   they never said no.  Not that they said yes either.  Anyways I set one up.  I've tried to think of ways it could get me fired.  I've come up with several that I'll try to avoid.  It's in the early stages.  www.hmcufc.com  HMCUFC stands for Harrison medical center ultimate fight club.  I set up a bracket system that paired staff against each other and then the winner was chosen by popular vote.  It was pretty fun.  Maybe tonight I'll get some of the photos up.

I know it's wrong

How Many 90 Year Olds Could You Take in a Fight?

this is a quiz I've offered to several people at work. I think it's meant to be more of a joke than a real assessment. In my line of work it could be valuable information in figuring out my odds. Ivy took the test And wanted her results made known. I think she could take 20. No surprise she is a little meaner than me. Please take the test and email or sms me the results. Or put them in the comments section. Yes I know it's a little sick. That's why you think it's funny. As a note I would never really take out a 90 year old. Its like when I joke about wearing a speedo. It's only funny because it is so impossible. To take the quiz just click anywhere on the orange above.

It just kept making faces at me!

This is the one we have had personal experience with. This time I caught it sleeping on the job. Tsk tsk!

How do you like me now?

You know those cameras all over town that are there for a good reason but it sure doesn't feel like it when you get that ticket in the mail for not stopping soon enough? Or you just had to squeez in and hope the red light doesn't show its ugly face on your turn? Well, I decided this one didn't look like it wasn't doing a good enough job. I also thought it was obstructing traffic with its camera flashing and I don't like its color. So I'm going to send IT a ticket. So there!

Late night movie

Went to see the mall cop movie. We saw the 920 showing on a school night. Are we the worst or the best parents ever? I say best. They both got things from school saying how good they are doing.

Ivy and Leah

Ivy and her sister.  Actually her twin sister.   Yes I can tell them apart.  You learn after awhile what the differences are.  No I never kissed the wrong one on accident.   Anyways they went out a couple nights ago.  They looked great so I thought I'd put a photo up.  For the 5 people that actually look at this blog(actually I have the google analytic software and it 15-20).  I feel like there should be one of those growl sounds people do when someone looks good.  I'm not sure I know how to type that and I'm not sure I'm cool enough to pull off typing that.

Rock band

Playing rock band at hewlens. Funner on the huge screen.  I think that is Asher singing.  He really gets into it.  He sings and then falls onto his knees.  In between he says "oh ya", "let go," things to get the crowd going.  That's Gene on the drums.  I think Jason on guitar and Ivy and Leah on the bean bag chair.  Jonal is also on the bean bag chair sleeping.  I guess she's not a rocker.

Cub scout

For cubscout we painting these little metal containers.  The first time I taped off a corner of the laundry room and we did it there.  That resulted in some overspray issues.  This time is wasn't raining so we did it outside.  Went pretty well.  A few more pics

And so it begins.....

I had my first meeting today for the kitsap base biggest loser challenge. I am a little scared but I think that is realistic right? Weekly meetings are on Mondays at 5 to 7. You work out in a class 2 times a week. Work out 5 times a week and class time is included. Keep a complete journal of what you eat and work out in your routine. And did I mention its 12 weeks long and you HAVE TO DO ALL of this? Otherwise you are out. They want to make sure good habits stick. So, here I go. Beginning weight is 191. Let's see where I end up.

Fsa

At work I signed up for the Flexibe spending account for health care.  For those that don't know they take my money out pretax that I can spend on health care expenses.  December 31st I remembered we had over $100 still in the account. If it is not spent you lose it.  I didn't want to give away my own money.  Ivy figured it out and bought a bunch of band aids, cold medicine, tylenonl, first aid stuff etc.  Spending most of the money online at walgreens.  This is the first box we received with one box of band aids.  The good news is shipping is freee.   I wonder if each box of band aids is going to come in it's own box?

Weekend getaway

Ivy and I got away for the weekend.  It was nice we haven't had a night away without the kids since before cooper was born.  Thats how having kids go I know. Thelma was nice enough to keep Cooper for us overnight. The Hewlens had the older boys and then Richard took them to their bowling in the morning.  It all came together just right.  Ivy and I had a great time.

Had dinner at Stanley and Seaforts.  We sat right at the window with a great view.  I had the lobster mac and cheese and Ivy had filet milgon with crab and bernaise.  We also had crab cake starter.  I love crab cakes.  Shawn at work got me a good deal on dinner and his wife got us a great seat.

Then we stayed the night at the pan pacific in Seattle.  We had a view of the space needle from our window.  Below the hotel was whole foods.  They need to make organic diet pepsi because I wanted one and whole foods has nothing even close. Oh well I did get some really good pistachio gelato.  The room was fantastic and we got a good deal.  Grandma Greene would be proud.  I do need to get over my fear of valet parking.  We had to pay 30 bucks to park since I didn't use the valet.  Next time I will.  It feels kind of snooty to hand your keys to a guy to park your car.  I can park my own car.  Just a note to Ivy's credit as soon as we got there she went and ran 3 miles in the gym.  She's devoted.  I watched tv and ate cheetos while she was running.  I did got to the gym though.  To pick up her watch she forgot there.

In the morning we met the women in my family and Ivy went with them to a sound of music sing a long?
