Chopsticks Tacoma

Yesterday was Kim's birthday outing.  We went to Chopsticks in Tacoma.  It was a fun time.  Seriously talented singer/pianist.   Whole table was singing along most of the time.  Well except for Bill and me.  Grouchy old men have to start somewhere.  They don't just become that way overnight.  It's a process.

So basically you go there order dinner.  They start playing some great songs and you sing along. Or if so inclined dance along.  Heaven forbid it's your birthday and your "friends" sell you out then you get to dance and sing on stage.  Whole table was laughing and smiling.  Little loud for visiting but most of my friends don't mind yelling(I'm looking at you Jacey).  Anyways had a great time and am looking forward to going back.  It is more of a bar than I thought it would be.  I imagined it a lounge type place.  Maybe we'll check out the Seattle one next time.  As usual I somehow ended up with Ivy's lovely hair between me and the stage.  I've been trying to convince her to cut her hair short.

On our way to the Tao drummers. You could wikipedia it for better info but it is a martial arts/drum group. They were great. It was the boys first show. Well except transiberian orchestra. It was all of our first time at the Moore theater in Seattle. I like it. We didn't have that great of seats and had a good view. I'm not a big fan of the paramount. Seems like the angle of seats isn't enough. Can never see above the person in front of me. And yes even tall Ivy had the same problem not just me. Click here for a few more pics

Someone at work made some alterations to sock monkey. She now has oxygen, and IV, diaper and somehow the face of the cpr baby. The results are unsettling. I had gone straight from Asher's game to work so I had my camera with me. Besides now you can see where I spend my nights. Usually there isn't a sock monkey involved. Not always just usually.

Fujiyma with family

We did a round two at Fujiyama. This time the family got to partake of the festivities that is the awe and inspiration of this fun place. I think I found the kitchen that can stuff Mason full to capacity. He actually left a few bites on his plate. The meal generally consists of a soup (that you can see in the picture here) and a salad with a house dressing. Kids got a children's meal which, by the way, you can still share. Unless you are Mason. Then I shared a steak and shrimp meal with my Mom. Hello! I was ready to burst. Its a great deal doing it that way. It can come out about the same expense for two than if someone ordered a regular meal. We had some appetizers. A cream cheese chicken roll and a dumpling. Both were great. The show factor is when the Chef comes out to cook for you. There is fire and smoke and knives and spatulas flinging all over. Cooper was quiet. He would point out something every now and then. When the first flame hit the hibachi he jumped. After that it was all good. He then entertained himself with a chopstick for a phone. Only Cooper can be that cool. If you are in the area you should try the place out. We are gonna do it again sometime. Hopefully with Jacey and fam.

Night out. Started at Fujiyamas in Silverdale then down to the Hi fidelity in Bremerton to hear Champagne Sunday play then a little dancing at Mcclouds.  With us but not pictured in this photos were Jacey, Aaron, Dave, Alecia, Belinda, Todd?, Misty, Kim, Jessica.

Mason is a bottomless tank. He polished off a plain double cheeseburger and the fries! He even tossed in a chicken nugget from Asher's meal. Who, by the way, ate 9 chicken nuggets and fries. Must be a growing spurt. They are gonna eat me out of house and home!

Mason's first wrestling meet. It was against Port Orchard. He won first match 13-0 and lost second 11-13. Not bad for first time. Plus he missed a week of practice for a trip to Utah.  Click here for more pictures.

Tattoo removal

I got another round! Yes! Its so worth it!! I had both arms done and the first round on my leg too. Its the laser tattoo removal. Yes, it hurts. Yes, it looks red and puffy. But yes, I'm doing it again! I want them gone! And I get them done at a tattoo parlor in Silverdale called Lucky Boys tattoo. They cover both ends of the business. I don't care. Its good work they do and a good price. Yay for me!
