Man and a Guitar

So as part of my journey to becoming an old man I've begun to like a certain kind of music.  It mainly seems to consist of a man and a guitar.  Good thing there seems to be lots of artists that fits the bill.  I don't mind if sometimes they have a drummer.  Ivy describes it as gay music.  No offense to people that are actually gay.  There was an Elvis Costello song that had a line something like, "you're a pig you're a swine and that's an insult to the pig"  When she says my music is gay keep that line in mind.

I think it started with James Taylor when I was about 20,  Then awhile ago Jack Johnson.  Then last year or so John Mayer.   Recently I've been listening to Brett Dennen and The Tallest man on Earth.  I'm sure there are many more artists that fill the bill.  If you know of any send them my way.  I tend toward the folky side of things.  I'm going to keep this is a ongoing list and update as I find more people I like.  These are the ones off the top of my head.  If you want to hear them www.grooveshark.com is probably the easiest way.

Here is Asher as happy as ever. Its near the end of a season. He scored a basket. And I am very happy he has such spirit! Asher, you rock!

This is mason awing over our new toy. A hot air popper! Ta-daaa!!! I like popcorn better this way than microwave. And its much cheaper and healthier for you too.

Me and Cooper were hanging out the other day while Ivy was at school and Grandma was downstairs. He fell asleep in our recliner. It was cute so I thought I would take a picture. I took a couple then realized the combination of the ambient light and the lighting from the ceiling fan was too bright. I turned off most of the ceiling fan lights and it was still too bright. Then I tried several other things. By the time I finally had it set up like I wanted he woke up. So I got one of him in the chair. Then we had some crackers to snack on.

Masons wrestling meet

Mason had anothe meet at bremerton high school. He won first match 12 to 7. Second match was against his own team mate and he lost 14 to 9? Both his opponents bad wrestled 3 years. He wouldn't let me take a picture till he put his shirt on. He has a totally old school singlet. It has short shorts and it drives him crazy that his nipples show. I think its pretty funny.
