Asher's poetry and punch

Mrs. Lancaster hosted a poetry and punch event for Asher's class.  Asher chose the poem Trees by Joyce Kilmer.  He did a great job.  All the kids did.  I was just impressed they sat still for so long.  There was lots of Shel Silverstein so I was entertained.  I think that my total knowledge of poetry doubled by attending.  Asher starts at about 1:30.  Seems to be something wrong with the video/audio sync but you get the point.

Hops and Props 2010

We went to Hops and Props at the Seattle museum of flight. We didn't experience any of the hops but the food was good. I don't think I have ever been there before. The planes were very interesting. So many in one location. They also had a live band playing. Didn't take too many pictures. We went with a group of about 12 people not that you could tell from the pictures. click here for a few more pics.

Ani made this when she came over for dinner with us today. It was above and beyond my expectations.

We went to NAD park today and did a round of 18 hole disc golf. I think I almost took out asher six times. Then as Mason was ducking from one of mine I sliced off a hair from the top of his head. Mason, I must say, has a mean throw. And Asher was bounding all the way through. Each "hole" we had to get to the two boys would run ahead like bloodhounds looking for the elusive fox. Well, some holes were hard to find as it was. Rick was the best THIS time. I will beat him some day. Maybe....ok....probably not. Hahahaha!      Ivy

Played disc golf with Donna and Michael, Byron, Misty, Myself(Rick) and Mason. Mason was our official disc boy. He ran ahead before we threw so he could help us find our wayward discs. Of which most were. Ivy and I are going to go on Wed. I think. More pics Click here.

I was really trying to show you what tasty and awesome look like together. Problem is I ate it. Ani made me some fresh and delicious won ton soup. I couldn't stop eating it. She has talent!

Retro Dogz

After picking up Cooper from daycare we decided to check out Retro Dogz in Bremerton. Nicely done inside with a mixture of odds and ends for ambience. Had a little rocker that Cooper like to ride. Located across from Uptown Auto body on Pacific ave. Close to the old post office. I got the retro dog and added cream cheese. It was delicious. I don't usually get relish but enjoyed it. Nice quick place to grab a good dog. Was plenty of parking right in front of place. And price was right. I think with chips an soda was right around $5.

I got my lobster fix! Rick had a gift card that existed in his junk drawer for 3 years or so. We finaly used it. The boys cleared their plates. I swear, the boys are gonna eat us out of house and home. I'm afraid, very afraid.

Asher had his end of the season party at SKATELAND. I didn't think cooper would last. At first he wasn't. But he calmed down. Asher did great this season. He improved. And the two awesome coaches that he had want the same team next season. GO WARREN AVENUE GOLD!!
